The food truck culture has landed on Cayman’s foodie scene. As summer temperatures are hotting up, so is the latest dining craze of 2019. Food trucks have been around since the dawn of the summer music festival but these unique eateries are now branching out. Birthdays, weddings, beach parties– you name it, the gourmet mobile kitchen is there serving up your favourites: made to order salads, poke bowls, hand-crafted burgers, poutine (thank you Canada!) and fresh pressed juices to name a few. But no longer do you have to wait for that party invite, food trucks are here to stay and are in a neighbourhood near you. So pick your meal, choose your vista (that’s the best bit, you can dine anywhere you want – we recommend a shady spot on 7 Mile Beach), and head down to your nearest Cayman chuck wagon.

We got peckish and did some of the legwork for you but you be the judge. Try a Green Planet smoothie from Bella Luna (7 Mile Beach), the Impossible Burger from Good Mood Food (across from The Strand, West Bay Road), the pulled pork with secret sauce from the fellas at Smokin Bros (Lawrence Blvd, West Bay Road), and the falafel with mango chutney from The Purple Monster (Red Bay).

If it’s catering you’re looking for, try the good folks over at Kaibo. With a mouthwatering menu that includes ahi poke, salt cod croquettes and wood roasted pineapple carpaccio with thai basil, chili and lime (need we say more?), it’s a good reason to throw a party.
