Meet the fisherman who’s saving fish

Guy Harvey is many things. He’s a storyteller, an artist, a conservationist, an educator, and a fisherman. He’s also an advocate for healthier oceans and has spent the last 45 years studying fish. From the flourishing reefs of Jamaica in the 50s and 60s to the decimated fish populations around the world by the early 80s and today, Harvey has seen it all. One lesson Guy Harvey has learned from spending most of his life under water is that our oceans can heal. It takes time, effort and education but with our help, our oceans can recover.
