Set up The Beach email on Mac Mail
Mac Mail
Open Mail on your Mac.
Click Mail in the top menu bar.
Click Add Account.
Select Other Mail Account… and click Continue.
Enter your name, your email address and your password:
Name: Your name
Email Address: [your name]@thebeach.com
Password: Your The Beach account password
Click Sign In.
If Mail does not configure the account automatically, choose IMAP and enter the incoming settings:
Mail Server: imap.mailbox.org
Port: 993
Security: SSL
User Name: [your name]@thebeach.com
Password: Your The Beach account password
Enter the outgoing settings:
SMTP Server: smtp.mailbox.org
Port: 587
Security: STARTTLS
User Name: [your name]@thebeach.com
Password: Your The Beach account password
Click Sign In or Done.
Make sure Mail is ticked for the account, then save.
Close and reopen Mail.
Send yourself a test email and check that you can both send and receive.
If it does not connect
Check the email address is entered exactly as [your name]@thebeach.com, with no spaces before or after.
Check the username is [your name]@thebeach.com for both incoming and outgoing mail.
Check the password is your The Beach account password.
Check the incoming server is imap.mailbox.org, port 993, security SSL.
Check the outgoing server is smtp.mailbox.org, port 587, security STARTTLS.
Close and reopen Mail, then test again.
